Are you looking for a fulfilling summer internship? 
 

If you’re a full-time college student majoring in a science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) field at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU), Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI), or Tribal College or University (TCU), the ATLAS internship program is for you! 
 

This exciting program focuses on growing technical excellence, fostering professional development, and promoting networking.


As an ATLAS intern, you’ll work alongside experts in your field and make critical contributions to real-world projects. Typical internship assignments include: 

  •     Developing software applications in Java, Python, or C++ 
  •     Designing and prototyping hardware and electronic instruments 
  •     Signal processing and data analysis 
  •     Algorithm analysis and development 
  •     Embedded systems testing and integration 
  •     Creating modeling and simulation tools using MATLAB
  •     Supporting research in life and physical sciences

For consideration, applicants should be...
  • Attending a HBCU, HSI, or TCU
  • Currently enrolled full-time in a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. program
  • Majoring in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) field with a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
  • A U.S. Citizen (required in order to obtain a security clearance)
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19. To ensure the safety and well-being of the community, APL has established a policy requiring that all staff be vaccinated against COVID-19. All staff members must provide proof of full vaccination or have an approved medical or religious accommodation by their start date.
