You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you have:

  • A Doctoral degree and two-plus years of professional experience in Epidemiology, Computational Biology, Ecology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or other relevant field
  • Extensive experience with coding and testing algorithms in environments such as: UNIX, C++, Python, awk, R, Octave, JavaScript, and/or others
  • Expertise in infectious disease epidemiological study design, integration of practical experimental data with statistical modeling
  • Proficiency in genomics analysis for infectious disease surveillance and epidemiological characterization
  • Experience in aggregation and analysis of disparate data Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to lead and contribute to teams from any position
  • Demonstrated leadership as a technical mentor, ability to lead cross-disciplinary teams, and expertise in communicating to broad audiences
  • Are able to obtain Top Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

 

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you have: 

  • Familiarity with operational conditions in a variety of settings ranging from highly resourced clinics to austere environments
  • Experience in health data modalities and public health reporting standards for infectious disease
  • Proficiency in building interactive data visualizations
  • Expertise in graph theory and experience performing network analysis on large biological datasets  
  • Hold an active Top Secret security clearance.
