You will meet the minimum requirements for the job if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in English, Language Arts, or other related technical discipline.
  • Five + years experience in desktop publishing and editing formal publications and technical documents for organization, grammar, usage, and clarity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and on a team.
  • The ability to handle multiple deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, to include building and maintaining document templates.
  • The availability to travel to sponsor facilities for at least two (2) weeks per year for work assignments.
  • Hold an active Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you have..

  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
  • Experience in a publishing environment using software other than Word, such as FrameMaker, QuickSilver, or InterLeaf.
  • Experience in the use of fields, macros, cross-referencing, and outline numbering for complex, multifile documents.
