You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

 

  • Earned a B.S. degree in electrical or computer engineering, computer science, or related field. 
  • Have multiple years of experience supporting computer facility operations. 
  • Are able to perform effectively under pressure both independently and in teams on a wide variety of tasks. 
  • Possess excellent written, verbal, and organization skills.
  • Travel (when possible again) would be within the US.
  • Are proficient with UNIX-based operating systems such as Linux.
  • Hold an active Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

 

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

 

  • Have knowledge of CEC hardware and software.
  • Have Linux system administration experience.
  • Have experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Have knowledge with embedded real-time systems and operating systems (e.g. vxWorks or LynxOS or similar).
  • Have familiarity with microcomputer bus standards (in particular VME).
  • Have experience with basic techniques and diagnostic tools (e.g. meters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers) needed to diagnose problems with electrical/electronic equipment.
