We are seeking an Internal Auditor to help us review Laboratory operations focused on government contract compliance, business process improvement, risk identification, and mitigation. The Internal Audit team collaborates with staff across all Departments and Sectors to independently and objectively test the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.  


As an Internal Auditor...

  • Your primary responsibility will be to conduct internal audits by executing all audit phases including: planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up. 
  • You will assess compliance with contractual requirements.
  • You will confirm adherance to internal policy.
  • You will audit against requirements promulgated by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • You will assist in preparing the annual internal audit plan by interviewing Management to discuss their priorities.
  • You will assess risk, prepare work papers, write audit reports, and present recommendations to Management.
  • You will exercise independent professional judgment.
  • You will continously learn and meet new people (while having fun)!



You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you have...

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2 or more years of audit experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft office products including Excel and Word 
  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you...

  • Have an understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Have experience with data analytics and/or data visualizations
  • Are experienced in performing government contract compliance audits
  • Possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation
  • Have experience working for a Public Accounting or Consulting Firm
