We are seeking an eager and hard working individual to perform as an Operations Coordinator in support of the Power Projection Task Order Program Management Office. This exciting career opportunity within JHU/APL's National Security Analysis Department will provide operational, management, and administrative support across the Power Projection Task Order. Operations Coordinators are expected to operate independently, set priorities, and adjudicate competing needs to provide timely information, solve problems, and contribute to sponsor needs.  As a member of our team, we value your unique perspective and look forward to the impact you will have in the NSA Mission Area.

As an Operations Coordinator your primary responsibilities will be:

  • Develop an understanding of the unique nuances of the Power Projection Task Order under the OSD IDIQ.   Work in conjunction with FM/PM/OCs across the the Lab to successfully execute tasking under the Power Projection Task Order. Provide over-sight, management and execution of the contractual requirements .
  • Work with other Laboratory Resources (security, quality, communications, contracts, etc.) to coordinate various levels of support and ensure successful execution. Partner with the Financial Managers, Program Managers, and other groups across NSAD to foster a highly communicative and collaborative business operations team. Proactively help fellow colleagues and be a team player within the section, group and Mission Area
  • Able to resolve issues and provide creative solutions for overall Portfolio needs throughout the project life-cycle. Be forward thinking and able to mitigate potential issues or concerns. Offer improvements to programmatic teams by creating new procedures or solutions.
  • Work with JHU/APL and NSAD Security/Facility managers to support closed areas and facilities. Participate in the planning and coordination for new projects, initiate access control, manage proper handling of classified material, ensure program security procedures are maintained and support completion and tracking of annual Security Classification Guides.


 

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in business, technical, other relevant field or equivalent 5 years of operational Programmatic experience.
  • Have the ability to work in a closed area.
  • Have demonstrated proficiency in tracking and updating program schedules, milestones and contract deliverables for high volume and diverse programmatic portfolios.
  • Have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively including excellent oral and written skills to include experience in presenting information to APL executive leadership, management, military and government sponsor officials.
  • Are proven to be a self-starter with a high level of initiative and can effectively prioritize competing efforts and respond independently to quick-turn around requests.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of government security requirements and guidelines.
  • Have advanced knowledge of business and office applications software programs including MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint. 
  • Willingness to work on dynamic projects and ability to prioritize numerous concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hold an active Secret security clearance and are able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance. I selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

  • Have at least 10 years experience with proven successful performance in progressively increasing program operations and business and contractual management.
  • Have previous experience in an OSD contracting environment.
