We are seeking a highly organized self-starter to provide administrative and programmatic support for the Strike Weapons Program Area Manager and Program Managers. You’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team supporting ground breaking solutions for complex challenges. You will play an active role in team communications and knowledge management.


As a Program Area Office Administrator you will...

Play an integral role in strategic and operational duties supporting all program/project planning efforts within the Program Area. Arrange monthly and annual internal program reviews, working closely with the Program Managers (PMs). Communicate with sponsors and government counterparts to schedule classified conferences, symposiums, and sponsor visits (schedule room, food, track clearances, draft agendas, assemble briefs, push slides, etc.).

Assist the Program Area Manager (PAM) and PMs in running database reports, analyzing data, compiling data calls, and managing/tracking task execution. Assist with other program documents and templates as required. Proofread and format documents and presentations at the request of the PAM and PMs.

Lead the management of the program area office to include purchasing and reconciling equipment, materials, and supplies; booking travel and processing travel reimbursements; and managing calendars. Lead property audits as the program area property administrator. Build shipping authorizations. Serve as group security rep.

Other duties as assigned to include assisting the Program Coordinators in identifying, implementing and ensuring compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and Security Assurance processes relevant to Program Area’s work.


You meet our minimum qualifications if you...

  • Hold an Associate's degree in business, economics or other pertinent field, or equivalent level of experience, with 5 to 10 years of relevant administrative/programmatic support experience.
  • Have shown a demonstrated ability to work on complex and multiple administrative and program tasks independently with little supervision and willing to take on additional work and challenges and to develop new skills.
  • Are proficient in the MS Office suite in order to produce sound documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Are capable of demonstrating independent judgment, interacting and communicating effectively with group and program supervisors, leadership, and external contractors and sponsors. Proactively initiate, manage, and lead program area tasking.
  • Can support irregular working hours and work in closed areas as needed and/or travel occasionally to support emergent needs.
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance.  Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for an SSBI and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.

You'll go above and beyond our minimum qualifications if you...

  • Hold an active Secret level or higher security clearance with current SSBI.
  • Hold a BA/BS degree in business, economics or other pertinent field.
  • Prior experience with APL-specific Practices and Procedures, software, and databases (e.g. Data Warehouse. RMIS, EBSS, etc..).
  • Working knowledge of project management (e.g. Microsoft Project), and database software (e.g. Microsoft Access).
