You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you:

  • have a PhD or equivalent in physics, engineering, or math, or a related field
  • have experience with science analysis of space-based data (in-situ or remote sensing)
  • have 5 years of experience developing software in Java, Python, or Matlab
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • are willing and able to learn new programming languages.
  • are able to obtain a Secret level security clearance. If selected you will be subject to government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

You will go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you:

  • have experience with energetic particle particle instruments, magnetometers, or plasma measurements
  • have used machine learning algorithms on time series or image data
  • have written software in a team environment or for use by someone other than yourself
  • have 10+ years of experience with scientific software systems, data management, or data analysis
