We are seeking a Section Supervisor for our Systems and Security Services Section. This individual will lead a team of Information System Security Officers and System Administrators dedicated to the creation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of DoD and non-DoD unclassified and classified networks and facilities in the Research and Exploratory Development Department. In this position you will collaborate with line and program leadership to forecast needs, develop cost-effective solutions, maintain a high level of compliance, and guide the strategic growth of REDD’s computing capabilities and secure footprint.

 

As the Section Supervisor you will…

  • Coach and develop section staff capabilities. Define expectations, conduct performance reviews, hire and retain staff with the necessary skills to execute tasks. Establish and promote a climate conducive to collaboration, growth, and innovation.

 

  • Provide prioritization and oversight for IT and security operations across all of REDD. This includes monitoring the day-to-day activities of your team, ensuring compliance with relevant APL and government policies and procedures, providing technical guidance, lead the strategic planning of REDD’s computing capabilities, identify process and technical needs, highlight defects and recommend solutions.

  • Establish strong relationships with REDD management, as well as internal and external stakeholders, to increase collaboration and communication both in and out of your team.

 

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a B.A. or B.S. in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance, or comparable field.

 

  • 5+ years experience working on classified computing environments to include familiarity with the roles and responsibilities of both Information Systems Security Officers and Systems Administrators.

 

  • Ability to prioritize and work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced, multi-tasking technical environment.

 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical knowledge with individuals at varying levels and in different roles.

 

  • Customer service focus.

 

  • Strong problem solving and collaboration skills.

 

  • Excellent organizational skills.

 

  • Active Security+ certification (or equivalent DOD approved 8570 certification).

 

  • Hold an active Secret security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet th.e requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

 

  • Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
